Yes the OLYMPIC pole bags were my brainchild.
When I was the supplier to the Atlanta 1996 Olympics and my former employment at PORTaPIT we wanted a clean venue that did not have all those ragged old bag the vaulter hauled in to the meets.
We also could not allow advertising other than us in the field, as that was the contract agreement.
So we made up over 100 pole bags and gave one to each vaulter.
We also had to make the PV and HJ pits in those two Olympic Colors at first we thought those colors would not look good. But as you can see the pit is really beautiful.
$$$$

How many pits were there? Bell has one, from the neovault video it appears Cal Poly has one, now Lindenwood. I thought they only had 2 pits in the stadium, unless of course they had backups in storage.
The HJ pit from the men's competition is at Texas State in SAn Marcos. They gave it to Charles Austin for winning gold.

I'm just guessing. Since those are Earl Bell PV Standards, maybe the pit also came from Earl's and Earl is getting a new pit at his place. How else could you get an 8 yr old pit that looks that good, and doesn't show signs of the sun beating it to death. Unless someone had it in storage for quite a while.

Yes ours is the pit from the building. We flipped the top pad over to the less used side.
