HALL OF FAME: Daniel Imlach stands next to fellow inductee Sephora Scoubes on Saturday night at Shasta College, while Gary Houser, the athletic director, spoke of Imlach’s achievements not only at Shasta College, but also at Sacramento State.
Daniel Imlach, a 2003 West Valley graduate, was inducted into the Hall of Fame Saturday night at Shasta College.
Imlach ran track and field for West Valley and then went on to compete for one year at Shasta College, where he was a state champion in pole vault in 2005.
He then received a scholarship to attend CSU, Sacramento, where he stayed for the next three years.
During his time at Sacramento State he majored in Social Science and helped the college win their first Big Sky Championship in Indoor Track with a pole vault of 16-10 1/4.
"Its very exciting being inducted," said Imlach. "Getting to come back to the community and represent is fun."
Imlach is currently living in Chico; he said Sacramento was too much city for him. He works for R & R Horn General Engineering in Orland.
