Dan Steele, Oregon Associate Director of track and field has taken the head coaching job at Northern Iowa. At Oregon Dan was in charge of the men's sprinters and hurdlers, men's and women's pole vaulters and multi-event performers. It will be interesting to see who they replace him with and if they keep Jenny Ashcraft on staff as the PV volunteer coach. Also it will be interesting to see if they continue the philosophy of not being a developmental Pole Vault program. I hope for our PV community here in Eugene that they get someone that loves the vault. Personally, I would love to see Bill Lawson come back.
