Re: Schools for vault
When you compiled the list, are you only looking at the men vaulters? What about top programs for women vaulters?

yeah, I didnt do all that much research, just looked at some top programs where I know guys have been successful. In my opinion coaching men and women are two totally different things which require totally different skills, many great coaches have the ability to produce both but the list I made didnt really apply to girls all that much.

Maybe it is just me and my ties to the north and the midwest, but the women from Eastern Michigan Univ. have been impressive. I am not completey sure of the coach and/or the women's pole vault roster, but when i go to meet (esp. indoor) they are in a great abundance. Not only do they bring 4 or 5 women to the meet but they all compete and they jump their way into top spots. I have personally witnessed three of there women jump over 3.70m indoors at the University of Findlay. If anyone can back my preminitions up with real facts u are more than welcome. But to u women out there looking for a school that may be a good one.

I might be somewhat bias here but at UofA we have Amy Linen 14'10", plus for next year we have to new recruits coming, Juline Baily13+, and Jenny Green 12'10". Plus Katie Morgan will be here in two more years, she went 12'6 here sophmore year. Soooooo............... Woohooo! Ohh yeah one more girl in April Kubishta, 12'7 her Junior year. Ummmm I think thats it. For guys we have Donavan Kilimartin Coming on a visit soon, but I think he's stuck on going to Tennesse, not to mention we might get my man Brandon Glenn,(15'9) as a junior with huge potential to go 17 this year. Ok that should be it. we currently have Mike Mortenson at 17'7"+, Kevin Opolka 17'6", and Chris Chapell at 17'2", Sam Jacobson at 16+ but red shirted his freshman year.. Ummm ok I promise I'm finally done. Wooohooooo!
