In May, the 27 year old record for High School pole vaulting was shattered in Montana.
The previous record was 15'9" set in 1988, and Chase was still 9 years from entering life.

Chase cleared 16'0" and then 16'4

He's signed with the University of Washington, and was subsequently featured in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd in the June 8th edition.

Nice!

Does he jump for his high school coach/private coach? Are there any private clubs out there in Big Sky?
