Blind Girl Pole Vaulting

Unread postby CowtownPV » Wed Apr 04, 2012 3:19 pm

Emory Rains in East Texas has a girl that is legally blind that vaults. I met her at a basketball game and she is a really neat girl. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschoo ... 52450.html
I think 10' is her best and she is a 62 split on the 4x4oo.

She went 9'6 this week at district and ran a 62.0 split on her teams 4x400.

My team practices at our state's school for the blind and deaf and their track coach said he's had a female vaulter who was legally blind. I think he said she got 6' or 6'6" though...not bad for season 1!
