Chin up for IU challenge
When former Bloomington South track coach Glen Stidd scouted a gymnastics meet for potential track athletes three years ago, he spotted Stephanie Chin doing some very athletic moves.
Stidd obviously had a good eye for talent because Chin turned into one of the best pole vaulters in the state, finishing second in the state meet last spring.
The move to track paid off for Chin, who recently announced she’ll pole vault at Indiana University on a partial scholarship.
