Believe it or not I haven't been hibernating this time :-) - I've been preparing the PVWAtG version 3.0 website as well as turning my fingers into jello by typing in even more high school marks that I missed during the year (over 800 so far YIKES!) - mostly from Texas and California boy those are do...

That's right I keep forgetting you're a transplanted Oklahoman :-) The CMPVA is the pv camp that Coach John Hoogasian - the pv coach at the College of the Holy Cross - puts together every summer. We had about 80 kids this year brave the thunderstorms and heat/humidity that made it feel as if you wer...

I just saw Matt Gault during the Central Mass PV Academy a week and a half ago. The event last year was very successful and there was a verbal agreement between the organizers and Matt to hold the event again. However there were miscommunications and paperwork snafus which unfortunately led to the e...

The Norwich Union Super League meet in Gateshead England featured quite a field including multiple WR breaker Svetlana Feofanova and 4 other 15 footers. No one though was quite prepared for this shocker. For the first time in quite a number of years the world records belongs to someone not named Sve...

There are no left-handers - only right-handers and wrong-handers ;) seriously though it doesn't matter how you look at them live or on video left-handed vaulters just don't look "right". I don't understand why - left handed pitchers and hitters look perfectly natural during baseball telecasts. Even ...

My bad

yeah I typed "5.52" into the database instead of "4.52" - i kinda type dyslexically sometimes. But hey 4999 out of 5000 ain't bad ;)

The mark has been fixed and uploaded. Hope Derek enjoyed his 15 hours of fame in the 18-foot club...

From the UW web site : Making her third NCAA Championships appearance in just two years was sophomore Kate Soma, who soared 13 feet, 5 ½ inches to place seventh overall, the highest-ever NCAA finish by a UW women's vaulter. The news was not all good for Soma, however, who was forced to retire fro...

"goofiest"??? well I guess I can handle that adjective. I was hoping more for "odd" or "eccentric" :) Yeah I'm from New England originally and now. Hard to believe I actually spent a good 16 years of my life in even worse climes. The move back to New England meant a move to MILDER winters comapred t...
