Check out this link to Illinois USATF for a schedule of meets:

http://www.usatfillinois.org/html/meets.html

Also, go to the website of local universities. Sterling is usually on each Sunday, and Niles West is Friday 1/11.

Best American Vaulter

Gold Medal - Cornelius "Dutch" Warmerdam Silver Medal - Jeff Hartwig Bronze Medal - Stacey Dragila All of the above are awesome pole vaulters...but Dutch takes the Gold in this one. Not only did he dominate during his tenure, but he did it with class. It was never a close contest when Dutc...

Video

Okay, so I thought this video was pretty kick a** while I was watching it for the first time....AND THEN I saw a clip of myself jumping in it. So now it kicks a** on a whole new level. Hahaha! Totally made my day.

I gotta give this guy credit for thinking out of the box...but come on...do you really think air molecules are going to make a difference in the weight of a pole? Terrible idea.

There's a lot of good stuff happening in this video: you're running fast, attacking well, and you're plant is awesome...you're a solid vaulter with potential. Here's my critique for what it's worth: I know you're aware that you're under so I won't say anything about that. Instead of keeping a swift ...

Camera Angle

It's a tough angle we're working with here. In the future try to have the video camera positioned so that we can see a side view of your take-off. When the camera is even with the box we can EASILY see if you plant is on time, body posture at take-off, if your hands or up or bent, etc...

Vault

That vault looks good: you're fast, there's good pole speed, you swing well...it just looks like you're putting a lot of energy into the jump. Your top half needs some improvement, and you can hold higher up on that pole. I know Izzy is the best...but check out her position as she goes over the bar:...

Nice Video

That video was pretty cool. Otto looks strong and fast, he's jumping on big sticks, and it seems like he's having a lot of fun jumping!!! I saw him in Osaka for the World Champs...he looked solid...all the Germans did. The only thing that stuck out to me- regarding that video- was the music: it was ...
