the jumpoff was run as a seperate event to determine the 5 qualifiers. the original competition marks stand although Jared does get credit for 17'7' since it was still during competition

I agree that vaulters should try other events but only if its something they want to do not something they are forced to do. If they are fast enough to score points they probably want to do it but if the coach knows they have no chance of scoring and just wants them to run for the conditioning thats...

pit for trade - SOLD

our school has a set of base pads we don't use. there are 3 main pads and 1 filler pad to make it legal. there is no front pads or top cover. Buy the school 2 new poles and you can have the pit. regular glass poles 13'6 or 14

Vault competition 1/25/09 Springfield, OR

Raising the Bar vault club will be hosting a USATF sanctioned vault competition on Sun. Jan.25th. in Springfield/Eugene Ore. Competition will begin at noon. The first group will be for vaulters starting under 11' cost is 15.00 for directions and to view the facility click on the link below.

free front pads

Our club has a set of front pads that were given to us that we no longer need. We would like to give a school first chance for them. they measure 16' wide and 11' deep, 5'6" of the depth is behind the box. we are located in Springfield Ore.

I have never used anything but a little chalk and in 20 yrs. of coaching I have never had a vaulter use anything sticky on there hands. I'm curious as to why some vaulters feel a need to glue there hands to the pole?

Brad only took one jump at 20'2 1/2". first attempt ran out of time, 2nd attempt ran through. He jumped great all day though. first attempt at his opening height 18' 8" he cleared by so much he almost couldn't avoid the bar on the way down. Congratulations to Brad on a great day of vaulting
