Congrats to the athletes and coaches in a great competition. Was that a PR for Blankenship and Duplantis? We definitely have an exciting bunch of young vaulters coming up.
I would love to be able to watch this competition if anyone has a link to footage. Morry?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Critique me?!
Congrats to your bro! Sorry to say I can't coach you or your brother in person...I have lived in Oregon for the last 14 years. However, I would be happy to help you guys out any way I can. One thing you should know is that the process of fixing your technique will make you a better coach...you will ...

Re: Critique me?!
Hey Jacob, I am happy to comment on your video because we went to the same high school! I'm not sure if I still have the record at HHS but I did for a long time. It is hard to see your video but I will do my best. You have a lot of positive aspects to your vault; good pole drop, good cadence/quicken...

Re: Swing Technique
Great question vaultpurple. As usual, both sides of the argument have some truth. Both vaulters have aspects they could improve upon on this drill. Vaulter 1: Pros: -goes elastic, then snaps the trail leg straight through the chord while engaging the shoulders/core, which is the best way to generate...

Re: AGENDA 21
PV Daddy, Even though I really wanted to walk away from my contact with you, as requested, I feel a need to respond to your repeated accusations. I have never been involved in any negativity on this website, until now. I had absolutely no idea that you were involved in the old threads I referenced, ...

Re: First (big) indoor meet 2013
Hey Rossi, happy new year! It has been fun to watch this kid develop. Great jumping for so early in the season! The approach looks pretty good, with a nice pole drop, plant, and takeoff. Keep emphasis on keeping the hands high and bottom hand centered on the chest during the plant; this may tighten ...

Re: AGENDA 21
PV Daddy, Wow, I am surprised at your wacko response. I assure you that I meant no disrespect, and was actually trying to agree with you. The bottom arm's action after the plant is very complicated. My post was written in haste, and I am glad that you had already watched Petrov's speech. Forgive me ...

Re: AGENDA 21
I agree with most of what you are saying about the bottom arm, and I admire your desire to try to summarize and/or clarify elements of the Bubka/Petrov model. May I suggest that you read the following threads and watch Petrov's speech from Reno (link to video is at bottom of first post): http://pole...

Re: Polardog Invite
I haven't commented much on this forum lately, but here goes a long-winded response: I agree with previous comments that your plant needs a lot of work. It is the reason that you are often under. You need to keep your hands high and the pole centered so that you can control the pole drop without slo...

Looks like a good meet...isn't 16'6 is where the wall-side standard hits the ceiling?
We are hoping to bring the Central Oregon crew over for the next meet; we have only had a few practices so far.
