GOOD POINT
Hey Tim. Good point. As your photo so clearly shows, this is one of those parabolic type clearances where there's space all of the way around the bar. If you're going to have a little fun and speculate from a photo, this is a more accurate prototype than a hit it on the way up AND/OR down with big h...

Poles In Hawaii
I'm looking to see who may be going to Hawaii with a 1460, 1380 or 13' 7"/170. I'm pretty covered (I think) except for that. Thanks! Bubba

Porter
Terry is ageless and a fantastic guy that I've known for about 30 years. What you see is what you get. Another example of what's RIGHT with our sport!! Bubba

CONGRATS!!
Man that is so cool!! Set your sights high and you will get there. I was fortunate enough to coach the late Dan Borrey (cancerous lymphoma)who had a college/open best (in Belgium) of 4.20m or 13' 9 1/4". He went on to win WAVA M45 in Buffalo at 4.60m - 15' 1", got a M50 WR at 4.50m - 14' 9" and a M5...

OK Kids
I usually don't get involved in these types of discussions but I do have some first hand knowledge from Bubka's coach, Vitaly Petrov, at his first visit to the PV Summit in Reno. I'm guessing 1992 but I could be off a year either way. He was asked this question, "How high can Bubka jump?" Petrov smi...

Her Pole Size
I spoke with Steve Chappel at UCS Spirit the other day about some pole issues I had and inquired what poles she's on. They are 4.45m (14' 7 1/2") between 170-175. She weighs about 140. Bubba

C U in San Marcos
As it stands now, I'll see you in San Marcos. In fact, Kris Allison, your San Marcos host, is stayiong with me as we're doing a two day clinic at the Woodlands HS.
Please shoot me an email address as I've been in the sportsmedicine/PT field as a business guy for nearly 20 years. Thanks!

OUCH!!
I just got in on this thread. Having personally detached the upper head on both arms while vaulting, I can give you some advice. I'm not familiar with one torn from the bottom and don't know where yours is torn, but if it's the top attachment leave it alone and do not surgically repair. My ortho has...

4 Everyone
This meet is open to "all comers". I saw a five year old kid finish a 200m to a standing ovation. Next week my two training partners (both 71 years old) are jumping. One pit has two sets of extenders and starts at 5' 6" and the other pit starts at 10'. The "low" pit was won at 11' and the "high" pit...
