Re: Skip the Small Poles?

You have to get PAST the bar as well as OVER it. As you increase the stiffness of the pole you increase the potential for height. Your mass is the same but the pole has more "throw". This potential comes with a trade off, less distance. All the height in the world does nothing for you if y...

Plan Ahead this year.

Plan ahead this year. It will take a little longer to get your poles from point A to point B. http://www.dbschenkerusa.com/ Product Update: DB Schenker is discontinuing broad-based domestic service as of Sept. 2nd. As announced on July 22nd, DB Schenker will no longer accept or deliver overnight, se...

Re: Factory Vault - Holliday 15-2

Check out Team Pacer Vault's youtube channel for over 30 vids of the elite competition.

http://www.youtube.com/user/TeamPacerVault

Those clips are the ones I gathered from spectators, the proffesional video's (Dr Peter McGinnis was on hand) will take a little longer.

Re: Factory Vault - Holliday 15-2

We moved the runways to a new spot to accomodate 3 runways, provide a safer event (pits over the grass instead of concrete with padding) and allow for better spectator viewing. The back of the runway was downhill but it was flat from about 40 feet in. There was a bit of a deceptive visual that we pr...

Re: USATF Juniors

Stephanie Richartz/Univ of Illinois was an 11'6" walk on. Her HS coach encouraged her to "try out" and a few months later she was the indoor school record holder......a few months later she was a consistant 4.05 jumper. Dont ever sell yourself short on your dream. Put yourself in the ...

Re: New poles, much needed advise.

I would like to eventually get around to helping with the original questions. Born2Fly if you get a chance (and we have not scared you away) provide some additional information from the earlier questions and we will try to be more on point from here on out, at least I will.

Re: New poles, much needed advise.

The Pacer patterns belong to the Pacer Company which was purchased by Gill, along with several patents protecting certain aspects of the Pacer III pole. Those pattens along with the patents (and several of the original employees) came to Champaign with the purchase and coutinued to be a part of the ...

Re: New poles, much needed advise.

Do your best to answer the questions and we will do our best to help. I "fit" vaulters to poles every day who do not have the luxury of brands/styles to test. Do you have any video? Approximately half of Bubkas records were on Pacer poles. Isenbayeva has only ever vaulted on spirits, there...

Re: New poles, much needed advise.

You said that someone advised you to get some poles (4m15-68 MSt Carbon 20.7, 4m15-70 Mst Carbon 19.8, 4m25-68 Mst Carbon 21.4). Is this someone who has seen you vault and knows your capabilities? If so listening to anyone on this board would be a mistake. What do you NEED from the poles to progress...
