I wear a helmet. After two of my teammates sustained serious head injuries in one season my mom called me and asked if I would wear one. It hasn't negatively affected my vault in any way and it makes vaulting just a little bit safer. I wear it at practice and in the meets.

Previously a high jumper/basketball player/all-around athlete.
Straight poled the first year and started bending poles in college.

11'6" senior in h.s.
End of Year 1 = 15'3.5" (college freshman)
