Speed on takeoff is all that really matters. Mids, penultimates, overstriding, understriding, short run, long run ... it's all foreplay. By speed, I mean in whatever direction you're jumping - some angle between horizontal and vertical. Maybe a Force Resistance Device should be placed under the take...
