Back pains
:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: My lower back has been killing me for almost amonth. After a few vaults I can no longer run full speed. I know it is from pole vaulting, because it only hurts when I pole vault. It could be from vaulting every weekday for a few months, and taking too many reps or from my step...

I dont think it matters. Just use it as you find it. I think tape is a good grip. not sticky, and not chalked.

In my opinion rowing is a good thing and puts positive energy in the pole, but I also think that it is not as big of a deal as many people think and that it is just a preferance, some people can row and get higher, others can't. Earl Bell told me I should row when I went one of his Pole vautl camps ...

Pole Vault Scholarships
Generally if a person is a good Pole Vaulter. say 16-17'. What kind of grades and SAT scores would he need to get a Scholarship to a Division 1 school?

I have pole vaulted 14'9" in a meet...in a 10mph head wind. That was the last meet i was in. I have made 15'6 in practice since then.

I'll be up there
Im going to Pole Vault 17'. I mean I do more work than most anyone else I know and all Im going to say is that it is paying off...i still have 2 seasons left too.
