it looks like he is blocking out with his lower hand... you should plant over the head and drive with the chest... it looks like hes trying to bend the pole with his lower hand which prevents him from driving into the pit which might be the reason he is on such a soft pole that looks like it is havi...

the breaks are usualy pretty clean so just put some superglue around the edges and rap it in duct tape for support.... you could also use a fibergalss resin to put on the duct tape to make it a little stronger and flexiable.... then you buy one of those cool pole vault skins to cover up the messy wo...

i used to have that as a big problme... planting to the right so i would fall to the right... but it is not always that you are accidently planting to the right as much as you are waitint too long to plant the pole mark somewhere around your 2 or 3 step and rember that when you hit that point in you...
