My daughter used triple jump spikes until she got a pair of Nike PVII spikes. A dealer once told me that, if they are comfortable, they will all work well.

My daughter has both versions, and says they are essentially identical. She likes the older ones better, simply because they are more broken in (and they match her school's colors).

Does "Reverse Bend" Stiffen a Pole?

There are a lot of techniques for making a pole feel "bigger", such as gripping lower, etc. This is probably a silly question, but can you accomplish the same thing by reversing the bend of the pole, or is this just a bad idea?

I have done this when officiating meets, but only when there were twelve or fewer total competitors, and/or when there was impending inclement weather or darkness. This was an amazing effort, and I am proud to say that I witnessed it! Had he come in higher, he probably would have cleared 13-8 or better.

BTW, Sam Kendricks cleared 18-1 at the SEC Championships on Sunday and qualified for the Trials...
