Re: What are your personal records?:Weight lifting
by the way here is an example of what i would consider very good squat technique for a track athlete. obviously these guys are olympic lifters and are ridiculously strong, so don't worry about the fact that they make 200kg and 220kg look like a joke at like 150lb bodyweight http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: What are your personal records?:Weight lifting
I agree with EIUvltr. In fact, doing "half squats" can be way worse for your knees than full squats. The act of switching directions at (or above) parallel with a lot of weight on your back puts a lot of stress on some tendons that are not meant to be stressed in that position. A lot of kn...

Re: Bubka Data 5.85 Meters @1987 IAAF Indoor World Champs.
Another thing about Renaud - if we take a snapshot of the point at which his pole tip hits the back of the box, his toe might very well still be on the ground, and most likely usually is. That being said, however, I'm willing to bet that if he stood at 4.50m and put his pole in the back of the box h...

Re: Older film of Daniel Ryland
Hey joebro, First of all I don't think it's a terrific idea to call people out on this board who consistently check and post for having issues unless they ask for it or there is a topic about them. Seems kind of random to bring Brian into this especially in a negative light. Second, you are tal...

Re: Herculis 2009, Monaco - Live at Universal Sports
Just caught the recap on Universal. Looked like Walker and Mesnil both jumped 5.80m (brad's was huge) for 2nd and 3rd. Lavellinie wins it with an absolute BOMB over 5.88m. I think Mazuryk was also over 5.80m for 4th.

Montxu Miranda connection to Petrov?
Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrQwc97lQHw&feature=related Anyone know if he has any connections to Petrov or anything? His jump at 5.78m starting at 2:10 is very Petrov-esque (minus a little knee drop). He seems to obviously be slightly less efficient and a bit slower on t...
