Re: hand slipping

Bouldering is climbing without a rope, usually on steep and challenging rocks 20' or less. You use pads of closed cell-foam and spotters as protection if you fall, but usually the mindset is: "exit upward" rather than fall to the ground (My kids sometimes pole vault in the backyard using t...

Re: I need to buy my son a pole !

Buying a single pole is very difficult. You don't want one that's too easy to jump on, or it will be obsolete in no time. However, buying one that you can't jump on is even more frustrating. Re: Any lawyers in the house?

I am arriving a little late to this post, but I think I may be able to help you and Matt! We actually do have a USATF club in Central Oregon (there are a few "running" clubs, but ours is more focused on the PV), it is run through COCC, and we practice Wednesdays @ 5:30 at Summit HS in Bend...

Dennis Phillips also had a good performance in the same age group, clearing 12' 4" and putting up some good shots at 12' 8."

Re: Oregon TC cancels Hayward Masters Track Classic for 2009

This is a real shame. I had my first opportunity to vault at the Hayward Classic last summer and had a great time. It was the best meet of the year to invite friends and family to attend with the grandstands right in front of the pits. I am curious why, since the Hayward Classic was held in August, ...
