Re: Lifting weather cover to prevent pool

we use a big rubber bucket called a "muck bucket" - available at a local farm store - turned upside down between our top mat and the all weather cover. We try to place this bucket approx. centered in our mats. We had a problem just like yours and this corrected this problem - we have used...

Re: Lifting weather cover to prevent pool

Ouch! Does the sinkhole remain after the draining? Otherwise it's a moot point since an athlete would likely bottom out and get hurt. Flip the buns over and let them drain. If they have connectors where you can rotate the buns when you put it back together, then move the really sunk-in one out of th...

Re: Browning 1960s sky poles for sale

We have a green Catapole that is about 40 years old and had it tested. It made it. Someone should come up with a DIY testing system. However you probably wouldn't want a pole exploding in your garage. :P I'm guessing it was well taken care of. :D , and it's also newer than most that are Black or Br...

Looking for aluminum crossbar

Howdy,

I'm still looking for an aluminum triangle PV crossbar for the collection. Anyone have one squirreled away in the shed?

Thanks, and just PM me if you find some.

Re: Browning 1960s sky poles for sale

I hope these are for historical purposes. Jumping on a 50 year old pole that's seen a lot of life in schools sheds is really not a good idea. Master's could use them , but they can't be labeled for any other kind of use without testing, and I doubt they would handle the load. I collect them for show...

Re: pole vault is quiet in Missouri ???

I concur, but a lot of the officials don't know anything about vaulting. This weekend, no poles were checked at a District meet because no one knew who was responsible to do it, so they didn't. I also think the "video viewing rule" is seriously being misinterpreted as many coach's are vide...

Re: Carry bag recommendations needed for short pole

KirkB's idea is pretty standard and simple for one pole, and it's not very heavy and it will fit on your bike rack. You don't need pressure grade pvc, just the standard white stuff will do. You need an end cap for 2" PVC pipe, a threaded coupler, and a pressure cap to threaded cap with a square...

Re: Physics Based Critique of the Petrov Method

I once brought Jeff Hartwig back to STL from Attig's Ray South PV camp and he was a gangly 14 year old kid that could not walk and chew gum at the same time with a PR of 9' 6". . . blah, blah, blah . . .

Same old tired story . . . I've known Jeff for a long time too. He's a fo...

Re: Physics Based Critique of the Petrov Method

[ And possibly you might wonder why you don't have more adherents... I'm trying to teach them a Petrovian free take off, but without strapping rockets to their buttocks I doubt any of them have the natural speed to reach anywhere near those heights. With good form its more like 12' - 15' for the bo...

Re: Request for old track gear

Those triangle bars are cool to look at, but they smart when you land on them. Do you have any photos I could enlarge if getting one for real falls through? I'd love to have one, but the trick is obviously getting them here from the great state of Minnesota. They probably ship as poles and lately, t...
