Re: Notable international results of the week (01/26 - 02/01)

I'm very happy for Angelica Bengtsson, whose PR was from 2011 (aged 17 then), and who is back at her true level. I was there, she had very good attempts at 4.73 and did the whole competition in gears! (I think that's how you call warming up shoes without spikes) Very good form for all jumps and no r...

Re: Perche Elite Tour 2015 - Rouen (France)

Great to see Holzdeppe back in the PV! Very nice 5.60 make from 14 steps, great form, more to come for sure this season. And he seems to have switched to spirit poles.

Re: Lavillenie : summer 2014 calendar

Thanks Wan for the interview. But I think you're a bit harsh with him, I don't see how you can say that someone that has beaten the WR, was part of almost all podiums in the last 5 years, and has won 3 DLs, is not thinking enough about his personal achievement. Don't forget that European championshi...

Re: Swing Efficiency Comparison: Bubka, Tradenkov, Lavillenie

I usually don't post on threads about vaulting technique, as I am not a PV coach. But I know some physics (teaching at university) so I'll join this discussion! Your approach seems interesting to compare different vaulters efficiency from objective statements. I have some comments about the model: -...
