Re: Title IX Reduces Women's Track Opportunities for Succsess

I would truly encourage you do do more research. This is the publication from the NCAA web site taking a look at gender equality... Lookin at all of these numbers please explain how male athletes get "the short end of the stick"... http://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/GEQS10.pdf

Re: Crossfit? Really? What is wrong with our elite athletes.

The answer is the hormonal response that comes from the types of work outs they are doing. I disagree to what you said about cross fit athletes being the most conditioned Olympic lifters in world but I think that will just come down to semantics and philosophy of athletics will be. The size and poin...

Re: 16'5" jump

Morning, - no worries let me clarify I agree that being taller with the top arm, the jumper is a tick late/under and body position/posture at take off is not ideal... fixing those technical things is excellent advice that i agree with... But in terms of the front arm yes a different approach... Alth...

Re: 16'5" jump

Nice jump, I agree with Kirk, If i were coaching you I would tell you the following... I would like too see more activity with the hands through the whole jump starting with the drop and I would like to see more integrity with the front arm at take off, I think this will come with more development a...

Re: Lifting 2 days before a meet

There are a few thoughts, for pre-meet, some coaches will have you do a few reps of a light Olympic lift to, as stated above, stay tuned up neurologically. Another approach is do one or two reps of 90-100% of a lift to target the upper level of muscle fiber. The only way to train muscle fibers is to...

Re: Title IX Reduces Women's Track Opportunities for Succsess

No I think there are issues with Title IX, but not the ones you mentioned. First off lets ignore the fact that you're discussing the NCAA a privet corporation and a law signed by Congress promoting the general welfare of the United States. Yes you are correct in the superficial fact that schools nee...

Re: 2 A DAYS?

I sort of half disagree, your generic fitness is good for specific times of the year, that type and volume of training is good for your first part of the year, but not during competition time. During competition time you don't need to be doing that much. You need to be fit to be a pole vaulter. Duri...

Re: HOW MANY TIMES TO VAULT PER WEEK?!?!

Generally not a good idea to jump two days in a row.
Yea two jump session a week is good out of season. Then once you are in season you might have two jumps session and one competition day.
