Keeping the standards "buried" at 80cm the whole meet would sure speed up a vault competition!

Lonstar, I thought I saw something that either USATF or NCAA was going to setting the standards at 50-80 range. Can't remember where I saw it though.

BTW, I forgot one rule I would like to see added to high school, NCAA and USATF rulebooks. It would allow for disqualiying a coach from a meet for bad coaching! I think you have seen it a number of times! ;)

Go to TRACK AND FIELD NEWS website and order the BIG GREEN BOOK. Has a much longer version of conversion tables. That's what your track officials use! Or an older version of the book!

Lonestar, I guess I did sound a bit to sarcastic on my last post. From personal experience, there seems to be a lack of officials with experience working the vault. I know here in Georgia, there are three of us that really do the vault at all! Cannot get anybody else to really work it on a consisten...

Vaultman02, I have heard off and on over the past 10 or 15 years, that some of the best high school track in Texas is not even at the state meet!

In Georgia, there are no qualifying marks to get into the state meet. If you are one of the top 2 finishers in your region meet, you are in the state meet. Eight regions per classification, so 16 vaulters at state!

Girls vault was an official event for the first time this year in Georgia!

Lonestar, don't "bad mouth" Knoxville to hard about bogus marks. One of the top 2 or 3 vault officials in the United States is there in Knoxville! I know he won't take any garbage from anybody, including the Tennessee vaulters!
