Re: FINALLY-Give them wings!!

The stuff is quite terrible though and sales are banned in a few countries. its actually not that bad for you in moderation. the most unhealthy aspects are the cafiene content and the taurine. im not sure about the sugar free stuff, that might be pretty bad for you. its only dangerous if you drink ...

Re: Bubka physics

Simple analogy - jump up and grap a high bar - you are not longer touching the ground - so how could you then do any movement or do swings faster and faster?? Ok that is a rigid or semi-rigid device attached to ground So next what about rings - yep - they are a flexible attachment With the pole - a...

Re: Bubka physics

right, the pole only stores kinetic energy given to it from the run on the X plane, and when it recoils it puts the same amount of energy back into the person on the Y plane. if this is correct i have no idea how it is physically possible to have more joules of engery at the top of a vault compared ...

Re: practice on correcting my plant

im pretty sure no one would reccomend a foot and a half pole increase. you need to fix your run and steps before you go up pole lengths or wieghts; i would even go down a grip or two, high grips are overrated. it would be cool if you could get some video of your actual run too. basically all we can ...

short approach - stiff or bendy pole?

so i some searches about different short approach drill but i didnt find exactly what i was looking for: when im working on my inversion phase i do lots of one two and three step short approaches with low grips, probably around 8, 9, 10 ft grips depending on the length of the run. (really easy simpl...

Re: Help getting more inverted

you might still not be getting your feet back enough in relationship to your body. ask your coach how exactly to think about this when your actually in a vault, but if you look at old bubka videos his feet sometimes are well behind his head as he inverts. i would also keep in mind that because your ...

Re: Moving up to a new pole

so if I weigh 140 lbs, and im on a 140 lb, 12 foot pole gripping at the top, and im hitting the bar on the way up with all those conditions, does should i go up a pole wieght? our school owns a 155 but not a 150 would that be too much of a difference? or should i find a longer pole? i have video if ...

Re: may 15 practice: help me invert! (please)

the things ive noticed about my swing are it starts a little late, like by the time my leg is parrallel to the ground it should be at my hands. also, i dont think im completing my swing. i feel like the knee drive is good in my lead leg though
