at a certain point you have to use other parts of your body to get your hips up / inverted. the leg swing alone cant carry you upside down. abs / arms etc

i am 180, and it was a 13 160 and i was choked down a foot. not too unsafe, esp for a warmup jump

bad idea vaultmd. i was doing something like that the time before i had my accident. i think that if i didnt have that whole motion of coming off the pole in my physical-memory, i wouldnt have come off the pole and it could have been prevented.

I have used both ways for a long time and found it really helps. I was taught the conventional way but always had a hard time with my arms being properly extended on takeoff.
