I sucked at districts and didn't make it to regionals, but then again, our school has no pv pit and it's my first year. How'd you do?

Gosh, I hope so too, our coach plans on bringing all of the pole vaulters to a booster club meeting and saying "we have all of these pole vaulters and no pole vault pit" and see if they will give us the money for one....I'M PRAYING!!!!

Yea, my problem is the other way around, we have our head coach, pole vaulter, and we have another teacher who is a qualified in teaching pole vaulting, but we have no pit, but we're fighting for that one!!

Well, I had a meet today, I now hold the school record for 6 feet (yes, not great), but for my first time it's good, also people in our county aren't that great. No pit drills...help...

Can anyone tell me some drills that I can do to make myself better, without a pit, because my school has no pit?? Thanks!
