Re: #letJadein

USATF doesn't care about twitter. Why waste time with twitter? have a lawyer give them a call immediately. that would definitely accomplish more than a few hash tags will.

Re: Worst indoor season ever ?

I always thought that the ideal situation for a budding high school vaulter would be a combination college/club environment. What I mean by that is finding a good club near a 4-year school with a degree of choice available, and studying part time while training and competing for a club part time. Ho...

Re: Worst indoor season ever ?

"we need these kids to vault for 4 more years to reach potential." Absolutely - Plus the opportunity to experience international competition! But clearly this is not possible in the US unless they have wealthy relatives, or are prepared to make enormous sacrifices over several years to ac...

Re: USATF National Champs.. ha..ha..ha..ha

I'd rather watch a no-hitter than the 5000. Or replays of the women's 5000 after the women's 5000.

We are watching the death of our sport... its sad.

Re: Vtech Last Chance meet thrown out

PS... I am glad that everyone here is on the same page. Coach Phillips puts his heart and soul into PV and made the progression BY THE RULES (double checking several times beforehand) to give all vaulters every chance at qualifying. Its a chame the NCAA is so shortsighted on its rulings. Its not eve...

Re: Vtech Last Chance meet thrown out

Just further reason why the NCAA is the joke of track and field world wide. Why is this acceptable when at the last chance meet in washington they lowered the bar to let athletes jump at it due to an officials error there. The 2 athletes that jumped 42 at the VT meet were not the ones who decided t...

PS... Everyone I mentioned in my post above is firing on all cylinders and they are all serious contenders this year.

Good luck to all... including all three VT boys.

Re: March 6, 2010 Weekend College Results

No. Typically we figure out what bar is needed to go to the big show and make the progression up and down from there. I think that would be a good idea, however. Maybe if the NCAA got input from all last chance meet-hosting coaches and set the progression all the way up to auto. We are at a disadvan...

Re: March 6, 2010 Weekend College Results

The results from the Virginia Tech Last Chance that will change the descending order list are as follows: Hunter Hall - VT - 5.42m (PR) Michael Uhle - Akron - 5.42m (double PR) Vica Shobe - USC - 4.22m (1cm PR) Kat Majester - Georgia - 4.25m (double PR) I think that should make 5.38 the cutoff this ...

Re: The next generation needs change

This topic boggles my brain. The USATF provides no training facilities, no coaches, no equipment, and no service for its members in general. However, they regulate how our teams are formed (at meets where first place makes less money than the 12th place finisher at an average women's PBA (bowling) e...
