Re: Typical HS pettiness

Coaches who use the rules to win track meets are unbelievable. Instead of letting the kids compete they are looking for ways to dq them. I would hate to be this type of coach and have to wake up and look at myself in the mirror. Rules are for framework to run a track meet, not to take away kids abili...

Re: Cole Saathoff- Diamond in the Rough *VIDEO*

I think what is more impressive is his run and takeoff! Every youth athlete takes time to understand the upside down portion of the jump. Good luck to this young man!

Re: Deadlines Extended for Summit Registration

I agree with Becca in that the primary purpose is to teach. But I would imagine that not alot of coaches would ever want to take the risk of putting there kids in this time frame in any kind of meet. And the organizers forget that this idea of teaching is great and all but most educators can take th...

Re: Sally Stanton wraps up Harvard vault career

Yes sir i did, you picked them as a program to watch. My point was to compliment coach johnson and I think he will change things in usc. Before he was there no person would have ever thought of that as a place to go to school.

More advantages than Bubka huh, the equipment is not better he had the same spirit poles that steve is making now, he had longer pegs, a square crossbar, and two minutes between jumps while competing. I agree he may not have hit the bar on his world record jumps, but bubka hit his fair share of bars...

It is interesting that this is being brought up, Bubka is definetly the iaaf's boy. The difference was is he had a completely different set of rules than pole vaulters do now. So, when and if it the record is broken congrats to that man for overcoming the "incredible rules committee". This...
