Re: US Olympic Trials - Men's PV - Kendricks 5.91; Simmons; Cunningham

Does anyone have a video of the competition or at least highlights?

I watched his 19'4' attempts and some of his 6m attempts but I'd like to see them again

Re: Vault/swing critique

I agree with treykristianPV. You stop swinging once your feet hit your hands when you need to continue going back (i.e. fully inverting). Re: What a season

If you want to vault more than just once I would look at nearby universities/colleges and see where they go for meets. Re: What a season

What state are you in? Most college meets allow unattached athletes to compete (some don't though so just make sure). It might cost $15 for an entry and you'll have to drive to them obviously but it can be done easily. With that jump I'm guessing you can be a 15'+ vaulter quite soon, especially if t...

Re: Jump at Takeoff

I would also suggest getting a coaches mark. A coaches mark is a mark from your 3-step that is used in ful...

Re: Placement vs. Pressure

I think the difference in placement vs. pressure has to do with the development of the vaulter. A younger vaulter (14-24) will be changing a variety of factors that affect pole placement: the run, stride count, pole length, grip width, grip height, take off mark, etc. All these things can cause inco...
