Thanks Kirk! I was lurking most of the time - had nothing to say, so keep my mouth shut. :-) As you can see in my profile Władysław Kozakiewicz is my favorite vaulter and he was jumping on Bruce's Fiber Sport poles. We found this in shed. Label is worn out, don't know weight rating. Any clues?

I'm not sure that the closing of the governments patent office would have discouraged innovation. It only protects the the guy or gal ( in some cases) or the person that produces the invention and creates government jobs. Is there a formula or equation that relates to how high you can grip straight poling to how high you can hold with a normal bent pole? Example: If you can hold 12' straight poling, what could be a max grip height with a bent pole? Could it be factored by multiplying by a given number like 1.2 or 1....
