Re: Gymnastics preparation for pole vault - The Russian way

I did these skills for years, but I'd never thought about how closely they relate to the vault.

Re: animal cruelty

PETA can be pretty extreme, but some of the things they say are really important for people to hear.

You'd probably like the movie Food, Inc. as well

Re: *WARNING

I am such a fan!!! In the summer, my boyfriend and I would run, then watch Man vs Food. I actually don't like eating that much, but the show fascinates me. He on the other hand, can eat. Watching it usually makes me want to cook, which he appreciates :)

Re: Cross Fit

Our strength teacher at school is really into it. We'd do crossfit whenever it fit into our schedule...usually only once every 3 weeks. But he was always talking about it.

Re: PULL UPS

I started doing them with both legs out straight... a real killer on basically the whole body! (Arms, back, abs, hip flexors, and technically the quads too...) Oh yeah! We did those all the time at gym. And just holds like that too. There was a girl on my team who was actually pretty good at ...

Usually we did harder running workouts on Fridays, and having a meet that Saturday didn't change that. We worked like that through the last week of April. I can't say I und...

Re: Summer/off season sports

Forgot to mention that since my season has ended, and I'm graduating soon, my coach and I have dropped the athlete-coach relationship and become friends. Thus, we are training together all summer, and are planning a road trip. :D
