One thing that i noticed is that both of you, but primarily the kid in yellow could work on, is keeping your lower arm straight and extending through your take off. You both have them bent which is preventing your pole from loading up, which will hinder your ability to get on larger poles. Even if t...

What do you think?

Well I got to go to an indoor track meet this year, which is quite unusual from my part of the country. I'm a senior in high school and this meet was after about 7 practices. This is me clearing 14, I'm holding around 14'7" on a 15' pole. This run was only a 5 step because i don't have any pole...

Looking for some poles

I'm in pretty dire need of some poles quickly. I'm looking for any of the follow poles, 15' 175, 15'6 170, 16' 170 please let me know if you have or know of any. I'd like to see some Carbon Fx poles, but at this point i'm not going to be picky.

Sounds like your current work out is pretty good, however i'd do a little more then small weight trianing. If you're really serious about vaulting you might try taking a weight training class at your school.

The metal box that you plant your pole into when you vault, is what I call the Slide Box.

I'm pretty sure i saw the jumps you're refering to. You don't remember the kid who let go of his pole and then landed in the slide box from 13 feet up? It stoped the qualifying round for about 30 minutes because they brought over about 8 trainers and they disassembled part of the pit to bring the st...

Simplot Games injury

I was at the Simplot Games this weekend and right after I finished my qualifying height some kid had a bad vault and landed back into the slide box. I'm wondering if anyone knows what happened to him? Did he break something? All i know is that he was carried out on a stretcher, i was just wondering ...
