My 6'5" son has several 200+ poles from his college days (up through 2009). Unfortunately, they are in the 16' to 16.5' lengths but they would be "legal" for your purposes. They are in decent condition. He would probably part with them. They are in San Diego. E-mail him at lvotapka100...

David, Sure. I plan to make no more than 6 of this. But I should warn you that making one of these is pretty expensive. There is about 40 lbs of bronze, a fabricate and polished Granite base and about 40 hours of labor over 5-6 weeks to cast a piece, weld it, burnish it, patina it and mount it on th...

Yes, I got it finished and I'm real happy with the way it turned out. I was even able to incorporate Altius' suggestion to make it closer to technically correct. Thanks for you encouraging comments. Unfortunately, the topic won't let me post another image. Maybe some later time??

It took about 7 weeks, but the bronze is just about finished. The pole was welded on yesterday and the piece was sand blasted getting it ready for the patina application. I ordered the granite base yesterday and it will be fabricated next week. Here is a progress photo of the project so far. photo (...

PV sculpture

I noticed that there aren't a lot of PV related art out there. So I created a sculpture. This is the just finished clay. I am now about to start the mold process that will ultimately culminate with a finished bronze around Christmas. I try to come back and post the finished piece.
