Re: NAPVA Nationwide Tour

Other than 1 southern state, it is more like a California tour (western tour). Colorado Springs or denver to, KC, St Louis, Chicago, Nashville, Orlando... or others in between would be cool. There are ways to get a nice I40 East run.... or a northeast to southwest tour?

Re: Post pole vaulting life

There are two that I do and will continue to do when I am done jumping. 1) Skydiving! Somewhat pricey. Take an AFF or static line class. ($1,000) to complete all training) Invest in a good chute and learn how to pack in the course! ($2,000) Once certified most drop zones (jump sites) just charge for...

Re: pole wraps?

NO! It may help against nicks and dings? But in relation to the bend... That is all in the pole material!

I know of people that add a layer of wrap for more protection...

I know people that take off the wrap because they want the pole 2 oz lighter????

Re: Is this box pump any good?

Becca, I used one that we got from academy sports and for about $12.99. Worked great.... looked alot like that one... emptied it all in 2 minutes max! Suggestion: Get an extra 2" PVC piece (5-10 ft, $2 at local hardware store) to act as an extension... The water will go out of the pump and into...

Re: dangerous-broken pole

Pshhh I say lets go back to steel... or bamboo! OK... OK... Not really! I broke a pole about 2 weeks ago... It happened just after the plant and I keep my poles in perfect condition at all times. But the reality is it broke! I am not happy with it: 1) because of possible injury and 2) financially! 3...

Re: ALL YOU NEED IS THREE POLES

a 12 foot pole allows for a grip of 11-6 and jumps from 0 to 10-6 ... high school’er’s must choose a pole over their weight.. i say at least 10 lbs... a 13 foot pole allows for a grip of 12-6 and can take you to a jump of 12-6 ... a 14 foot pole allows for a grip of 13-6 and can take you to a jump o...

Re: Pole Vault Pole Protector

Here is a cheaper and lighter answer to this agenda! 20 oz empty bottles... cut it at the top where it tapers... cut it at the bottom where it sits... and then cut the middle piece remaining from top to bottom... wrap this around the pole and use lightweight clear package tape to hold it on. works l...

Re: Stress fracture of the pubic Ramus

Honestly that is the most difficult area of the body to heal... From your condition to ligaments and tendons down there. Time and rest, and Becca makes a great point with nutrition and recovery. With all that said, I too currently have an adductor or growing ligament, tendon problem... it has now li...

Re: Huffman Roll

I spoke with Scott in December and in his own interpertation is... In para phrase: It was more of an adjustment on top, for body control, to get in a position to clear the bar... And it was unintentional... He also said it only seemed to happen at higher bars? He is an amazing athlete to be able to ...

Does anyone know any coaches in that area? Would anyone be willing to let him Jump at their school or is there a coach that coul...
