Help! looking for a legal 210+ pole

LA/southern CA area for trade or loan. I coach a 206 pound HS student that wants to vault. Our biggest pole is a 160. Condition does not matter because it will be not be bent.

Thanks,

Re: Post pole vaulting life

Hang gliding!
Once you do your first solo you will be addicted.
Cost:
Used glider=$800 to 1,000
Used harness with reserve=$300
Lessons (optional but recommended)= $500-1,000
The concentration in the launch and landing is a lot like the vault and hang gliding is free once you have all the gear.

Re: Compton College all Comers 1-16 & 1-23

Just a heads up, the Gahr HS All-Comers did not have the polevault last time. You might want to check before you head to that meet. vaultmd, a lot of excellent polevaulters come from the area. I was at a summer all comers at Gardena HS in 1975 and a guy showed up and casually jumped 16 feet. I was t...

Compton College all Comers 1-16 & 1-23

This is an excellent place to vault. Nice facilities, experienced officials, and a good tail wind. I guess there was a high school athlete that jumped before I arrived who had a 1 hour private lesson from a D1 coach and a former elite vaulter. The runway is down hill. Re: Herculis - Lavillenie 5.88, Walker, Mesnil, Mazuryk 5.80

Does anyone know Lavillenie's speed in meters per second at the take-off? I haven't seen a vaulter that fast in a LONG time. I think it's possible he'll be the first 10+ mps vaulter. He does seem to have an extra gear. Here is some video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ntUvs5O54Y&eurl=http%3A%...

Re: Highbars Are Everywhere!

Good topic! Not everyone has access to gym or gymnastic equipment. I like: trees, doorframes, gates, roof overhangs, railing & stairs In my neigborhood, offical high bars are hard to find. Most have been removed from parks or schools and replaces with jungle gyms/monkeybars. This is my typical w...

Split,

I was the polevault coach for the last three years. Hopefully next year also. We have vaulters from La Serna there too but any vaulter in the district/league/area is welcome. I am always looking for help taking in the matts after practice, especially near the end of the season.
