sounds awful.
I assume we will see a whole lot of jumps at 5.72 and not much else except for a couple A standard guys getting insurance heights. From what Becca said there is no reason for many competitors to jump at anything else.

I feel as though Pat will put together a qualifying jump in the next couple weeks. He is getting ridiculously close and he has a couple more chances.

Regardless of pole brands I still think coaches not understanding what constitutes a safe vault is the main problem. When anyone undertakes a dangerous sport it is always more beneficial to have good coaching than tight rules. Javelin was banned in Colorado (and a few other states) due to catastroph...

I think coach education is the key. In order to vault safely almost every beginner needs to be on a pole that is below their body weight and/or super short in order to get into the pit and learn how to bend a pole at all.
