bvpv07 - Sami Hartley. Sami is a senior at Bella Vista High School in California and is gonig to Stanford next year. She is smarter than any other moderator on Pole Vault Power and keeps everyone in line.
lonpvh - Lon Badeaux. Lon is the vault coach at Arkansas State and often helps Earl Bell with his popular camps. Lon and his wife Amy recently had a baby boy.
PVPhD - Peter McGinnis. Peter is an Assistant Director of Graduate Studies at Cortland State in NY and coaches the vaulters there. He is the biomechanist for the USATF Pole Vault Development Staff.
Robert schmitt - Robert coaches the pole vaulters in the Mt. Vernon area of WA and has his own chiropractic practice with his wife.
Russ - Russ VerSteeg. Russ is a Professor of Law at the New England School of Law in Boston and has a successful pole vault club.
vaultmd - Wilson SooHoo. Wilson is a pathologist in California and hits the Master circuit pretty hard when he feels up to it.
VaultnGus - Doug Lang. Gus used to publish the extremely popular Pole Vault World According to Gus newsletter and website with the most detailed rankings anywhere on the internet. He also coaches and has a real job on the side.

Becca Vaulting to a State Title in 2000

History of Pole Vault Power

It all started over 7 years ago when Becca was in high school. Becca vaulted for King's High School, a small school just north of Seattle. The coaches at King's maintain rankings of all the 1A athletes in the state, but had few marks for the girl pole vaulters in the state because it was a new event. After spending the season scouring every weekly newspaper from every tiny town in WA, Becca decided that there should be a website dedicated just to the pole vaulters in WA. With the help of teammate Paul Mach, the Washington Pole Vault Site was born in 2001.

After 2 years of doing the WA rankings, Becca set her sights on the future. Becca dreamed of a site where pole vaulters all over the US could find out what pole vaulting opportunities were in their area. While planning the best way to do this, her friend Nick Twaddel talked her into setting up the message board she had talked about having on the site. The whole website ended up taking a year and a half to complete, but the message board was a huge success from the beginning, adding new members daily.

Now that PoleVaultPower.com is finally complete, the goal is to improve the level and safety of vaulting in the US by increasing communicatin and opportunities to vault!
